My friends work concessions at a minor league stadium nearby and I had to bring them to work yesterday. When I dropped them off we found out that Ace Young (contestant on American Idol season 5) would be there signing autographs and performing so I decided to go. And I am gonna go back in 2 weeks to see the William Hung (season 3 contestant that didn't even make it through) train wreck which shall be interesting
He sang the anthem, Take Me Out To The Ballgame and then a set after the game. It was a great night. I waited in line with a good chunk of the attendance (probably 600 or more people) to get a signed pic and picture with him. He was so nice and was thrilled that a guy was actually in line to meet him. I only talked to him for a minute but he said thanks for the support and hope to see ya again bro. I was just stopping chewing my gum when the picture was snapped
He sang a full acoustic set as soon as the game ended and had a group of what seemed to be people with challenges of some sort sitting behind home plate close to him, which was really cool. They had red shirts on that said "I See You". He does a lot of work with charitable organizations, maybe this is one of them as there were handlers with them as well. There also seemed to be fan groups that traveled to see him cuz they all knew each other, knew his guitar player Paul, sounded like they had been to every show he has done, and knew all the words to Scattered. That was cool to see and you could tell he genuinely felt welcomed by the support. After the show, he walked out the back of the stadium where my car was and I talked to him again for a minute or so before the rush of people kind of ran him off and the security closed off the gates  I did the best I could with the videos because people kept leaning out in front of me when he walked to the group of people near the fence. It was a really cool night, especially for an $8 baseball game. He sounded the best I've ever heard him too. I believe he said the cd is coming out in a little while. I hope so. He is great friends with Chris Daughtry (my favorite) and a great guy and he'll have my support. His official website is www.acemusic.com .
Here are my videos of the full concert in order (I think):

Buzzdash.com polls
Today's useless blog is about a new time-wasting obsession of mine: www.buzzdash.com . I stumbled on it literally by using the Stumble! plug-in for FireFox which is really a great tool because you define which subjects you like and click the stumble button and it brings up random cool websites in those topics that you otherwise would never find on your own, mainly cuz there is no reason to look for them.
So BuzzDash.com is a site filled with user created polls about every subject you can think of. It's very addicting. So as an example, since Daughtry is my favorite band right now, I made one about the probable Grammy nominees for Best New Artist as listed in the LA Times.

Come on Yanks....
Down 2-0, Damon hits a game tying 2-run hr to tie and Proctor walks in the winning run. How low are my Yankees gonna sink? Who knows but I hope they find another spark soon and enter the all-star break on a good note. A-Rod is playing incredible and very clutch which makes me happy. And Jeter, well he is always clutch. He's Captain Clutch Derek Jeter.

My new laptop
So I decided to make my first real blog about my new toy that I got yesterday. I love it and highly recommend it if you're in need of a desktop replacement. It's the HP Pavilion DV9310us found here at Circuit City where I got it.
It's very powerful and has an incredibly clear and bright display, perfect for all of the music I record or videos I am editing. It has a large full keyboard as well and a great touchpad (which normally I hate). It's non-lcd which makes it so much better. The 17" widescreen makes watching dvds and Daughtry videos on Youtube very crisp and clear. :) It comes loaded with Vista, which I am still on the fence about cuz I can't find some settings to change, but the graphics are amazing. The speakers on this one are great as well, something my last one was sorely lacking.
So if you need something powerful yet affordable, I recommend looking at this one.

Hello :)
Welcome to my first ever blog. I never thought I'd make one of these because I didn't think I had anything important to say about anything. Maybe I do, who knows. There are so many bloggers out there that really have a grasp on communicating their thoughts. So from time to time, who knows, maybe more often than not, I may throw a few random thoughts out there and see what sticks. I'm sure most of them will have to do with Daughtry or music or the Yankees ;) Might end up being fun after all:)
